Welcome to the Scand-LAS Conference Science & Care in Tampere. This year, Open and Allentown join forces to present Science & Care, exploring innovative ways to foster a culture of compassion in research.

Scand-LAS, founded in 1970, comprises around 350 members, primarily from the Nordic and Baltic regions. Our mission is to actively promote the understanding of the need for animals in research, educate personnel involved in using laboratory animals, accredit laboratory animal facilities, and develop Laboratory Animal Science (LAS) as a scientific discipline.
